If you search 'project binky' or 'bad obsession motorsport' into YouTube it will bring up their channel. I'd highly recommend starting from episode 1. Their fabrication work is amazing

New head should be here tomorrow or Monday. Just doing the prep. Going to whip the sump off tomorrow and check the oil pump bolt and clean it out. Put it all back together then head off to the Nürburg Ring

And I'm not joking. The ferry is booked

Things progressing with putting the head back together. Doing all the prep work for bolting it all down tomorrow. Block is cleaned and prepped. Glow plugs are in and FPR fitted with new gaskets etc.

So tomorrow I'll be hopefully completing the rebuild and getting round to the other side of the workshop. The plan there is to get it onto the ramp then remove the sump to check the oil pump sprocket and clean it out.

Then fresh oil, filters and coolant and it would be drivable by the end of the weekend

Everything is now back together. Tomorrow I'll be taking the sump off to check the oil pump sprocket bolt and then replacing all the fluids in preparation for the Nürburg Ring.

I've turned the engine over by hand many, many times and am confident that everything is clearing so tomorrow I'll be getting it running and then taking it for a drive

The defender will become my daily again and then I can continue the restoration of the range rover - getting it to how I want it instead of getting it complete to use. So partial strip down again for final body work and cosmetic stuff
