Outside temperature
Hi guys

I am wondering if is possible to find a reliable outside thermometer for my Defender, in the past I bought some thermometers but I found no ones precise.
I also wondering if is possible to connect a thermometer to the ECU, I'am pretty sure that ECU does has an outside temperature sensor, may be is possible to connect the output data to the central electronic display of TD4, Isn't it the same electronic display of freelander? If is possible we can change our display on defender with a freelander one?

Ok, well, thanks Andrew, but I though about something less invasive, and more "automotive". I have to ask to the dealer where the freelander's indicator is connected, and if is connected to the ECU.

The engine knows the air intake temperature, and a Scanguage can display this.

While you are moving it should be the same as the outside air temperature, although if you have been stationary with a hot engine there is little new air coming in and the reading rises, falling again once you move off.
