My Checktemp ( a mk 3) arrived today Thumbs Up

All thats left to do is translate the German instructions, I have a semi English set of instructions for the mk 2, and get it fitted.

Hope it's not raining at the weekend Very Happy

Is there any chance of connecting three temp probes to the checktemp? I was thinking one probe permanently wired in and 2 selectable via a switch so that I could always read the internal temp, have an outside probe and a probe in my fridge when it is in the vehicle.

If you need help with the German translation, let me know.

Hi Cranberry and welcome to def2.

The mk3 version has an outside and inside sensor plus connections to control the a/c, a bit like climate control I guess.

There is an extremely helpful member in Venice who I am sure will be along at some point to answer your question Thumbs Up

Thanks for the offer of help in translation - if I get into trouble I will let you know. I do speak some German so that, coupled with the mk2 english instructions should see me through. Famous last words Laughing

I presume you don't have to connect to the aircon as some won't have it.

You mean like this one?

http://shop.conrad-uk.com/car/car-equipmen...57079.html

Ordered one - It's £30 cheaper than Croytec! May be inferior but 30 quid's 30 quid...!

Croytec now have an outside temperature gauge that will give you a readout on your vehicle's stereo so no need for any extra gauges...Don't know how good it is but Croytec's products in my view are normally excellent quality and fit for purpose. Thumbs Up

Andrew

If you can't work out the temp. connections they are

Red - permanent 12v
Black - earth
Violet - switched 12v
Yellow - Illumination

Mines connected into the back of the radio - top tip from dgardel Thumbs Up

Mick

You don't have to connect to a/c - I have not.

Mick

Those are part of the Air Con set up.

I am not using that so can't comment on exactly where they connect.
