Am awaiting extended front mudguard brackets from Entreq and once the rears are available in three to four weeks time will adapt new rear nearside mudflap to fit as exit pipe sits slightly higher than original.

Why should you have to adapt your mudflaps? If there had been any care taken in the design of the system, it should fall into place.

Those exhausts use slip joints with Mikalor/U-Clamps so you can twist each section to make fit anyway, so would have thought it would line up okay?

My exhaust systems are flange jointed, and simply bolt together only one way (The right way!). Makes them much more expensive to make, but you won't get any alignment problems. Whistle

I trying figure out if I have a cat or not.Do Pumas have a O2 sensor when cat is fitted. Thanks

On mine the O2 sensor is not connected & is hanging by the gearbox. I also banged on the cat itself and it sounds hollow, whereas on the A3, when you knock on it, it sounds like it's solid.

I have a plug with 3 wires next to the gearbox that is blanked with a plug.Is this the O2 wire?I cant find a sensor anywere near the the cat or pipe.Maybe they all do not have a O2 sensor fitted. Rolling Eyes Puma 110 SW

I have never seen an example of your workmanship so reserve comment! I am extremely happy with the workmanship and finish of the Griffin system as I saw one on a display stand at Douglass Motors! I also have protruding wheels hence the adaption that may be required if the mudflaps don't fit as I would wish! Sorry if I didn't make myself clear! It does appear the Griffin system sits slightly higher and I may take your hint to see if it rotates lower, thank you!

If your system is much more expensive to make surely this expense is naturally passed on to the customer? I am fortunate to consider myself to have received excellent customer care, a great deal with a generous discount and a lifetime warranty on the system irrespective of who owns the vehicle! I couldn't really have expected any more! Happy days! Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

A mate of mine makes exhausts - possibly the Alive tuning ones - and they fit very well, I've got one on the TR90. John

Every stainless steel flange joint on my exhausts (of which there are five on the Td5/Puma 'system', exc. decat) costs around £8 each, and that's before they're TIG welded in place. It would be far cheaper for me to have the pipe simply cut and to use slip/swage joints, but that would mean using exhaust clamps which can leak, and also makes installation much more tricky. Also in the event of a warranty claim on a faulty section, you would have to dismantle a slip jointed system, where as with mine you simply unbolt the faulty section, and pop the replacement part back in, using new gaskets.

I design my products to be the best they possibly can be, and if that means it costing more to make, then so be it. You'll find my exhaust prices are'nt excessive, as I still need to be competitive. The only loser is me, as inevitably I will make less profit than my competitors. Rolling Eyes

If there's no cat, you should hear a muted turbo whistle from the tailpipe at idle. Also the cat 'box' will sound hollow.

Griffin exhaust fitted today, extra torque noticeable and exhaust tone throatier especially uphill! Helped with the swap out and despite removing front crossmember and disconnecting the propshaft the cat was a complete b4st4rd to remove! Came out in one piece and have complete old exhaust system cluttering up my garage! Heat shield for turbo after removal of cat on to which it was bolted was a little insecure and rattling, quick trip to marine chandlers for a large stainless jubillee clip and a little alteration to the heatshield and it's resecured with no rattle! Job jobbed! Thumbs Up
As an addition - Did a prolonged journey and the engine runs between 6 and 9 degrees cooler! Suppose it's due to the catalytic converter that used to run cherry hot red no longer being there and the reduced back pressure!

any chance of of a picture of you heat shield mod? fitted my exhaust today Very Happy when you open the landrover out, it growls Mr. Green

My truck (2007 2.4 Puma) is currently at the garage at the moment getting serviced, thought whilst it was in I would get my Alive De cat pipe fitted.. Phone call today claiming that it'll take a day an half labour potentially to fit (on and off not their main job)!!! Are they having me on or is it really that hard to fit?

Update, Told them not to bother i will find someone who are more specialised!

It is now obviously an MOT fail so as with builders if they price themselves out of the market so they won't have to do it. Also there will be no recriminations for them come MOT time perhaps? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
