if it's still the, the mod can be done, but just requires a bit more work.... something to investigate I think as a rear aux socket would be very useful 2013 Aintree Green 110 Station Wagon SX

Just fitted a couple of 12v sockets in to mine ready for the summer.
Just don't know why land rover do not fit them as standard. Thanks for the tip on finding the cable. |

Will removing the rear speaker panel (drivers side) expose this loom, or do I need to look elsewhere? My Disco 'best bits' Defender 110 XS CSW 2013 |

Thanks for this, was about to try and fit one myself. Save me no end of trouble as was looking at running cable into the back.

Which fuse is it connected to ?
Think I've just blown it testing my fridge out. Plugged fridge in & nothing until ignition on. Ran for a short while then went off. No power now at the sockets. Any ideas ? Martin |

Forgot to say its a 2002 110 CSW.
Looked at all fuses and they all seem ok. I'm a little lost. Any answers ? |

Martin,
The purple wire goes back to fuse 2 (20Amp) under the RH side seat. It also protects the towing socket. At least that is so on a Puma. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I have taken a look this morning Eric and found a blown fuse under the drivers seat. It was a 15amp one. I have replaced that one but still no power at socket. Checked all other fuses and they are all ok. Any other suggestions ? |

Recheck fuse 2 which should be 30amp and power accessory wiring to rear, trailer power and interior lights. The only 15amp fuse under the drivers seat is fuse 6 Alarm system, according to Dgardels Users Handbook for a td5. LANDYWATCH

Welshgas,
Checked that fuse & all is ok. Interior lights all ok. Plugged my caravan into the towing socket & all is working. I'm a little baffled. All fuses are ok after checking. Any ideas ? |

Some in-line fuse maybe?
Use multimeter to check continuity of +tve or earth. LANDYWATCH Neighbourhood Watch for Land Rover Owners http://www.landywatch.co.uk/smf2/index.php |
