if it's still the, the mod can be done, but just requires a bit more work.... something to investigate I think as a rear aux socket would be very useful 2013 Aintree Green 110 Station Wagon SX

Thanks for the info, just ordered a few sockets to scatter about the vehicle.

One question though - those pesky trim clips/screws, before I get stuck in with my screwdriver or panel remover, how do these ones work, is it just a case of unscrewing the centre pin, removing it then popping the bit that's left with he panel popper? Or is there some other trick Confused

Thanks

Chris

I normaly try the philips screwdriver, if that fails panel popper between the head and and the rest, they normaly just pull out. Mine have been out more times than enough the last two weeks that they now know whats coming. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Just fitted a couple of 12v sockets in to mine ready for the summer.
Just don't know why land rover do not fit them as standard.
Thanks for the tip on finding the cable.

Thumbs Up

The whole wire has not been deleted just the two way connector that goes "nowhere" has been removed from the loom the cable still continues from Fuse 2 under the seat through to the rear loom and terminates in the towing electrics connector in the rear wheel arch.

Will removing the rear speaker panel (drivers side) expose this loom, or do I need to look elsewhere? My Disco 'best bits'

Thumbs Up removed my speaker and the loom was just to the left hand side. Cogito ergo sum

Thanks for this, was about to try and fit one myself. Save me no end of trouble as was looking at running cable into the back.

Which fuse is it connected to ?
Think I've just blown it testing my fridge out.
Plugged fridge in & nothing until ignition on.
Ran for a short while then went off.
No power now at the sockets.
Any ideas ?

Martin

Forgot to say its a 2002 110 CSW.
Looked at all fuses and they all seem ok.
I'm a little lost.
Any answers ?

Martin,
The purple wire goes back to fuse 2 (20Amp) under the RH side seat. It also protects the towing socket. At least that is so on a Puma.
Eric

I have taken a look this morning Eric and found a blown fuse under the drivers seat.
It was a 15amp one.
I have replaced that one but still no power at socket.
Checked all other fuses and they are all ok.
Any other suggestions ?

Recheck fuse 2 which should be 30amp and power accessory wiring to rear, trailer power and interior lights. The only 15amp fuse under the drivers seat is fuse 6 Alarm system, according to Dgardels Users Handbook for a td5. Thumbs Up Whistle LANDYWATCH

Welshgas,
Checked that fuse & all is ok.
Interior lights all ok.
Plugged my caravan into the towing socket & all is working.
I'm a little baffled.
All fuses are ok after checking.
Any ideas ?

Some in-line fuse maybe?
Use multimeter to check continuity of +tve or earth. Thumbs Up LANDYWATCH
