Just wondering if you got to the bottom of the noise? my Puma 90has recently started making a slight rumble around 2000rpm, never used to do it. Iv looked over all the obvious things but have not got a clue?

I've been doing a fair amount of sound proofing in my 300tdi recently, and it's made a large difference. In particular; front seatbox, footwell, and bulkhead, plus an engine blanket.
Up until now I've been using a combination of Silentcoat mass damping material and Dodomat closed cell foam. However, I recently also came by a dozen sheets of open cell foam. Is this worth trying, maybe in the headliner where it's not going to get wet? Or is it pointless, and I should just stick to Dodomat everywhere? Thanks |
