It's a genuine nas 110 step, I've been looking for a while too and just as I found a company in England that could make them this turned up £200 cheaper a bit to spend on refinishing though but should save me a few quid I think. Ray

I thought the 110 ones were different though? It's a genuine Landrover step with the plastic/rubber tread as aftermarket ones have chequer plate. It was off a 95 110 and I don't think (but may be wrong) that the receiver step was offered over here.

It looks pretty close though. The NAS 90 actually bolted to the outside of the frame, and the NAS 110 to the inside. The 110 NAS version was only produced for '93, and there was 500 made for the US market and 25 for the Canadian market.
I know Masai has been making one with a receiver but I haven't seen anything other than one photo on their site, so you can't see how it braces. Most have chequer plate on top, (like the Masai) but I know the "bumpy rubber top" is available out there somewhere. Biggest issue with the bracing is getting it to work effectively and still clear the fuel tank. Please post lots of photos as you go through your install, I'll be watching closely. If you can figure out who manufactured that bumper, I would love to know. Safari Equip has one listed on their site, but no photos, and from what I have seen of many out there, they are not worth putting on. Here's a couple more images of the Genuie NAS 110 bumper. The guy I bought it off said its genuine and he got it with his 95 110. Everything looks the same as your pic apart from the two jacking points so maybe Landrover had added them by 95? Ray

Landrover never produced the bumper with jacking points for the NAS market. All the NAS trucks came with the small bottle jack (God only knows why!!??) so there wouldn't be a need to have the jacking points on there for the NAS market.
However, the NAS 110 has 2 straight cross braces (one welded in to the end of the 2" receiver, and another where it's bolted to the frame. On 90 version there is only 1 cross brace welded to the receiver ,it isn't straight, but angled. The whole unit is shorter overall. You can see it in the photo where someone has put a 90 step on a ROW 110 and needed to extend the braces to fit to the frame (compare the top 2 photos of the 90 to the 3rd for the 110) From the looks of what you have there....I want one!!! It's a proper 110 fit. Click image to enlarge |

I'm guessing that as Landrover have to provide spares for 15 years after production of each model ends the production of the steps may have carried on for a while and either a design change or change in manufacturer supplier caused the adding of the jacking points. It is a proper 110 fit so no extended brackets will be needed Ray

She's not driven it yet I've done 270 miles in it so far we did a long journey in it yesterday and it was quieter at motorway speeds and the air con was a godsend but I do like the td5 noise so,I'm undecided I do think 1st gear on the 6 speed box is a bit unnecessary though. Ray

Dropped the rear Nas step off yesterday to get sand blasted, acid dipped, hot dip galved and powder coated I pick it up next Friday so I'm hoping they do a good job. If we get some dry days this week I'm going to try and give the rear panel of the chassis a bit of a re-tidy and take off the tow bar and old rear step. Ray
