Austin Vanden Plas 1300 (well, it was my Mum's). I loved the walnut veneer and the fold-down picnic tables in the back.
That was when I first passed my test in 1985. Sadly, a minor accident (not with me driving) a couple of years later meant it was written off as the parts weren't available. This isn't the one, but the right colour: |

Unfortunately my first (and 2nd cars) are a bit a bit obvious, and very similar to the 110 and 130 I have 35+ years later

Mine was a Triumph Herald, 1360 I think, quickly followed by a Ford Pop 105E, which I hand painted silver - I was into Hawkwind at the time Defender D250 HSE

I would say Silver was a better choice than Gold for the Pop, although I think Golden Void was a better song!!

I think you are probably right on the song but at 17 I have to admit it was Stacia prancing around the stage live at Malvern that did it for me Defender D250 HSE

In 1972 - 1966 Ford Anglia 105E which came from a mates country garage with a 1500GT engine.
A year later it had lowered suspension, an 1 3/4 " S.U., Escort diff, 1500 GT gear box, 6.5 - 13 Ro styles with 175/65/13 tyres. Been playing with cars, especially Land Rovers, ever since. Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right. |
