No strange scraping noises when driving - all seems fine. Not sure what you mean by the 5 chukka chukkas at shutdown - is this after engine switch off?

I will replace the MAF during the week and if there are still issues, will take to the dealer for "ignition learning".

Thanks for your help with this Brian

When you shut off the engine you will here the EGR going through it's self clean cycle and it sounds like 5 x chukka chukkas to me.

The procedure for: "P167B - 41 Fuel injector learning not done", is Pilot correction learn.

I do think that replacing the MAF will cure the MIL, and getting the injectors learned will help with the engine idle etc.

Let us know how you get on. Thumbs Up

Brian.

MIL still came on Big Cry

NANOCOM - PUMAENG.APP - PUMA ENGINE fault file

167B - 41
Fuel injector learning not done

missing CAN signal high/low switch
---
0100 - 64
Mass or volume air flow A circuit

signal plausibility failure
---

Only two codes now. Heard the chukka chukka of the EGR so don't think its that.

Does this mean a trip to the dealer for some "injector tuition"?

If your EGR had a problem you would get the DTC come up so you haven't got that issue. How about taking it to main dealer they can check everything 100% then both by diagnostic and rectify any faults if any. It may just need all the software either updating or removing and replacing. A glitch as it were.. Although I am no expert. TheThunderRollsπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Puma Workshop manual says one of two things:

1) Pilot correction learning procedure corrupted

2) Engine control module (ECM) fault

Hoping its not the latter - anyone had an ECM replaced?

Dealer can only see the 0100 code. Will probably just end up with a new MAF harness.

Hi kmac,

Have you managed to solve the P167B-41 DTC? I am having the same issue, car does pilot learn in standard map fine but gives E7 Failure when trying it in my BAS Remap using the BAS RRC. Fault code keeps returning to.
