Are you not running a full range though them then ??? hence why they are loud? Or dose your Puma already have crossovers fitted ???
Saw 'Killers ' JL sub in his at Billing. For a little sub it rocked Looked like a 6" cone so plenty of mid range IMHO it kicked the butt of all the actives I have seen, although admittedly It was boxed and therefore slightly larger. For a small cone it did really well and the SQ only suffered on the silly lows. I wonder what he's knocking them out for ? |

AFAIK the Puma has cross overs but could be wrong... (I'm really not sure)
Either way I'm not Amping them through the standard wiring and they are only powered by the HU so as far as I'm concerned I don't have to worry about the wiring being used for too much current passing through. If I did Amp them I would be fitting all new wiring to take the extra power. But as is they are sounding perfect and certainly have a good range. Having said all of this I haven't adjusted my HU at all since fitting I only gave them a try and the original standard Tweets had a much lower output so it's a marked improvement ten fold. I am really happy though. Lows are great from my sub and highs are now too so I've just got in-between to sort the mids. Changing the subject. You can bet anything Chris has is a show stopper, he does do a lot of quality parts and work IMO all be it snowed under with too much work maybe! I'm sure if you ask him nicely he may offer you a slight discount. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Indeed. It's tempting to Amp them but I don't think I could stand them then, the highs would be so high in volume and of course cost as well. Nope, as they are I am extremely pleased with.
I like the mids and bass the most though in all honesty but wanted these to round off everything nicely so far. It seems a little odd to have good equipment and leave standard items in and as I have found it does pay off to change if your into I.C.E. How are those 6x9's going? I'd fit in quite well at the local B@Q cruise
Its total overkill but the SQ is amazing, the loud part is an added bonus |

Jim - Bass can never be over done IMO. Not in a Defender anyway. It takes some power to make a Defender vibrate anyway it does that by it's self.
Chris - I've just sent you a couple of text's bud. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |
