But what length are you requiring? I'm assuming right back to the HU? Due to my HU's separate control unit I only need 1.5M / 2M to avoid having excess cable.
Plus the kitty was a little short after spending so much. ![]() β½οΈπ’οΈβοΈπ§°πͺ |

Another issue is not many out there have 90 degree plugs on which was another issue I found as it suits what I need far better. Yes, you can get 90 degree adaptors but I don't want all that gubbins attached.
![]() They are also shielded and despite common attitude these particular one's I have had have been brilliant. But yes if you don't need 90 degree plugs or a shorter RCA cable like I do / did then your solution is much better. **EDIT** barbel - Forgot to mention. What do you use for your primary power cables? y that I don't mean gauge but brand?.... I used Proflex on mine brilliant stuff and looks nice too. TheThunder Rollsπ¬π§πΊπΈ β½οΈπ’οΈβοΈπ§°πͺ |

There is not a lot of difference in price as the main expense is the plugs on the end. It's just my opinion Steve, and I am just surprised as you know your stuff and like decent kit. An extra tenner is nothing when you'll spend £90 on tweeters.

I ended up using Audioleads. When I started originally I was using JL Audio which was bright red, heavy copper core and looked the biz. Unfortunately my supplier ran out and was unable to source anymore . so having OCD I had to rip it out and replace it so it all matches. The Audioleads is supper supple, but a dull red and semi translucent. I preferred the looks of the JL but the Audioleads is so easy to route!! It's all better than using one of those amp wireing kits! |

Know what you mean. I'm not a fan of AGU fuse holders either.. TheThunder Rollsπ¬π§πΊπΈ

Anyone been doing much with their Defender lately in the nice weather? Not had a chance to touch mine too much on at the moment to have time. TheThunder Rollsπ¬π§πΊπΈ

Hi, thinking of changing my Alpine sub to a Kenwood KSC-SW11 as it should fit behind my cubby, the Alpine is now too tall for the new auto style cubby and is currently cable tied to the bulkhead bar.
Has anyone any experience of the Kenwood sub or can recommend an active sub that is less the 240mm high. Thanks BM52 |

Shall have a look a little later for you. Would you consider Kicker too? Would be much more powerful than the Kenwood and a nice rectangular shape. (Not sure on size though)

I am no ICE expert as long as it has a good rounded sound and decent bass. I am very eclectic with my music, from classical, through jazz, rock, prog rock, some pop [
![]() The Alpine has worked well for me, it's just the size. Thanks BM52 |

So can I be also. ![]() The Kicker hideaway looks like this: ![]() Click image to enlarge Suits the Defender well IMO and is roughly twice the power of the Kenwood SW so value for money is good too. Plenty of bang for your buck so to speak. Specific details here: http://www.kicker.com/hideaway Dimensions are (CM) 35.2 x 9.94 x 23.8 Available here: Kicker Hideaway from ICM E-bay store I would recommend the above seller as I got my kit from him last year and was very good to deal with. Even gave some discount up on asking nicely & getting in contact. Height wise it is more or less the height you mentioned but no larger at all so I hope that is okay. that does look good, i'll have to get my tape measure out and see if it will fit, looks tight but do-able
![]() it has to fit below the hinge join at the rear of the cubby. thanks BM52 |

I see what you mean. If you find it a touch tight just try a neat backing board and position it slightly lower to make up the difference. I assume the cubby bottom isn't right against the floor?... TheThunder Rollsπ¬π§πΊπΈ
