The more the merrier. And I know but there isn't going to be a Kicker and Kenwood joint effort on the market so my only option for optimal power. Kenwood do nicer 10cm's speakers thank Kicker and Kicker do better Subs/ Amps & Tweeters than Kenwood. That said Kenwood are cheaper.

If you want to run one of those just use an inverter. Quite why you'd want to I do not know. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Focal 130 vrs poly's. Its a tight fit in a TD5 and went for the shallows as I'm going to flush mount, no spacer rings want the space for noise and crossovers. Half fitted, just got to run the wires. The tweeters were far easier than I thought. I had visions of having to take the dash out to drill the holes. They require a 46mm, so used a 45mm hole saw on the slant. Drilled a 3.5 mm pilot hole first, the put the hole saw pilot through followed by the saw bit +pilot. bit of filling and job done easy. If you take the ends of the dash,( Heater controls and grab handle ) you can see enough to make sure you don't hit any cables. Bit of luck finished by weekend and I'll post some pictures. I know is a common question about upping to 5" so yes they fit with a bit of cutting, and a picture will help people decide. |

Click image to enlarge and Drivers side Click image to enlarge Wonderful They are a tight fit, more the cut out passenger side than anything but sit the same as originals and the sound . As for the sub :- wot sub beats its little heart out , but just cannot compeat. So for all those wanting to Know yes 5" fits in the front of a TD5 Just. |

Shame that size doesn't in a Puma. Don't really want to shell out a fair amount of cash for a "maybe it will fit" kind of thing. On the Puma it's also the passenger side that's tightest. Heater / air ducting that is in the way. Also going from a 4" to a 5" is little difference for the outlay in cost. OMHO anyway. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON

Not been anywhere near a puma Steve, Couple of extra photos
Click image to enlarge. Thats looking down from the instrument cluster drivers side. These are the VRS 130 's which are shallow mount. About 50mm IIRC. This side was probably tighter as in getting it all in. The cutout is larger so could hit the bulkhead if full depth speakers were used. Click image to enlarge. The normal place they foul is the wiper motor, but there is loads of room. The beauty about the larger speaker is higher RMS, wider frequency bands and ultimately better sound. No the difference in price between 4 and 5's is negligible, hence why I went 5 not 4. Running of a 2 ohm stable 2 way amp. Sounds sweet with the 6x9's but they drown my little active Sub. Same with all upgrades- you achieve improvement in one area, which then highlights another that needs be improvement. ( My Scandinavian mono Amp is here just need to buy the 2 x 10" subs.) |

Now you know why I want to upgrade tweeters from standard. They are the only standard part and obviously lacking power too. I've also got a new RCA cable recently for my Amp with 90 Degree plugs as what I have at the moment is fine but just doesn't look right and suit very well. Not a super expensive stylish RCA cable from ICE dealers but none the less more importantly fully screened and double shielded. (Often what the don't mention on expensive cables. ) Pictures to follow when I get round to it along with the tweeters eventually. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

But unlike you we can fit things because our heater ducts aren't in the way. We don't need one get plenty of heat off the valves inside said wireless. |

Soon get cold though when they got to stop and give it a wind up though won't they. Perhaps they've got to connect it up to a radiator to get a good signal and use a single piece earpiece just to listen to a few crackles. That's ontop of the 1980's tdi motor roaring away like a steamengine.
