Tried the brakecleaner trick today on the 110 Td5 ... spectacular result 
Used almost a full can because the locks were very sticky, but this really works very well  |

Could it not be that the wiper motor just cannot cope with the additional friction of the wipers on the dry glass ?
Awesome to read that the improved heater nozzles work very well. |

I had the same problem and filled all the slots with closed cell foam rubber cord.
