If the scangauge doesn't allow you to clear a dtc you can always do a hard reset. Disconnect the earth lead off the battery and press the brake a couple of times to discharge any stored capacitanc ...

I checked the main switch, and the dipswitch. Both of them seem in perfect working order (no burning, no melting).

As documented it IS a common fault. Dismantle the switch and have a look at the detailed contact, or just ignore it until the switch fails, probably at the most inconvenient time!... Thumbs Up
