I'd stay away from the tow hooks for obvious safety reasons, but otherwise I'd give it a try. I've seen some of the side steps and they looked identical to the factory ones.

Doesn't the fact you have to put the thing in "water" mode defeat the whole purpose? You could just put the fob in a water proof bag too.. The old dumber activity key seems better to me.
