No question, build quality on the Defender is Censored to the point I sometimes think a blind man put it together. Still love it though Laughing

Thanks for the replies. 2-stroke oil never did any harm, I'll replace filters regularly and blank the egrs and see how it goes.

Just seen the faultmate thread over on disco3.co.uk - very impressive! That's the electronics side sorted, now need to worry about the mechanicals.....got to love LR quality control Laughing

Looks like it has a roll cage. The A-pillars are really weak on these things.

Has there been any development in this field? I too need an affordable, portable diagnostic tool and have heard good things about Blackbox faultmate, but don't know if it covers the Puma.
