Let the guys at GAP know they're not showing up and they can add them. I think they add some of those on a case by case basis. With it being in beta and all. 20MY Defender 110 Fuji White

Thank you Ian!
And thank you for looking that up for me. I’m trying to figure where the ABS fault is coming from when I make changes to MultiCAN 580, 712, and 809. I have LKA from the factory and notice that when I make changes to those three MC files, the LKA goes inactive. LKA has to be part of the equation. |

Can someone tell me, is it possible to disable the auto folding mirrors and make them manual.
So they only open/close when you press the buttons near the electric window switches? The reason is, when we are towing the caravan and have the extension mirrors fitted, if you lock the vehicle the mirrors fold and the extension mirror clamps hit the door. |

It's probably some combination of these two. I haven't changed them to see what they do yet.

good morning everyone, with the latest update this visible error appeared with the gap tool, no symptoms or warning light on the car.
the only changes I made are those reported on the forum ( dynamic mode, wifi, 007, drl) . I think the problem originates from the dynamic mode configuration maybe not complete or incorrect, has anyone seen this error? Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

I had that for a long time and just ignored it, but then I stumbled upon a pathfinder thread where they mentioned that you can get that with a ccf mismatch for the vehicle. It apparently doesn't have to have anything to do with ABS. I did a restore to my original ccf and then made my updates and it went away. 20MY Defender 110 Fuji White

So it looks like time to buy this unit, as it's working for the things l want to do such as the stop/start memory
l looked on the GAP Diagnostic website and it still says Defender L663 "coming soon" Also there's a couple of options, one at £500 the other at £2,000 Hopefully the £500 one will be all l need. And it mentions "subscription" at a further £500 per year. Obviously this is really designed for repair garages and dealers. As a private buyer, buying a unit to work on their own vehicle only, would l still need to pay the £500 subscription to get the unit to work? |

As I said last time you asked, the best place to buy it is from one of GAP's distributors, Duckworths at Market Rasen are one and also a forum sponsor, if you ring and ask for Sophie you will get the best price. The one that you want is the IIDTool BT G3 which should cost below the £500 you mentioned from Duckworths, the more expensive one is the pro version which isn't tied to just one VIN and that has the subscription, the IIDTool BT G3 is buy it once and use it with one VIN (although you can purchase extra VIN's if you have more than one LR) there is no yearly subscription to pay. If you do decide to purchase it via the GAP website remember that it is based in Canada and there may be extra tax to pay on the unit when it arrives in this country. The GAP website mentions it's 'coming soon' for the L663 as it is still in Beta test, the final release hasn't been released yet If you buy one before the final release you will have to ask Pat to add you to the Beta test in order to use the tool on the L663. To do this you will have to install a programme called Test Flight on your mobile device and install the firmware to the tool via a desktop computer or Mac. Cheers Ian
