United Kingdom 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 Landmark LE Santorini Black
Hi Everyone

If I have read this thread correctly, I can buy this IDD tool and then switch on settings to enable Terrain Response 2 and tow assist?

Will it impact the warranty? Or will I get into trouble when I later get the car serviced by LR?

The reason why I ask is that I’m buying a new Defender, and just been told build date is in April.
I could save a few pennies by doing this. Very Happy

Thanks for your help.

Paul

Yes you should be able to do those things when the tool is out of beta, at the moment there are still some things that can't be done and one of those is TR2. I have made changes to my car and also my previous cars, 4 Disco 4's and my Range Rover and they have been into Land Rover multiple times and LR have never noticed that any changes have been made. If you were worried that your car may be a problem you can quickly restore the original CCF file in a couple of minutes but like I said I have never bothered. Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

Well just fitted an alcantara steering wheel and flappy paddles, can't wait until I can get them activated. I also changed the steering wheel trim from the white to a dark grey one Very Happy

Fantastic Dan. On my wish list. I genuinely miss not having paddles, sometimes the car just feels like it needs to be in a lower gear.

Yes I really miss not having paddles but it's more for off-road use that I prefer them Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

Finally got my tool set up today and had a play.
Did the upgrades as stated in the previous posts.
I had a play with the cooled seats settings in hope Laughing is this more than a software thing with extra hardware feeding the seats. It states if you have perforated seats which mine have holes so not totally sure. Anyone else looked at this?
Like most I’m keen on the TR2.

A big thanks to GAP for there very fast responses as always Bow down

did you get anywhere with this? My seats have perforations but no heating or cooling even though the base spec here is meant to include heating

Has anyone managed to get Tow Assist 2 to work? I've set all as per pervious posts:

I'm just not getting the Wheel icon with a trailer attached nor the red lines. The trailer button between the aircon dials does not work either.

I've got Surround Cameras so that should not be the problem, what I have noticed is that Advanced Tow Assist usually comes with ATPC. Enabling ATPC keeps throwing up the Emergency Brake Assist Warning though. Defender D300 HSE 110 MY22 Pangea Green

Hi Ian,
While we will def do our best, there is no guarantee that everything will work once we are out of beta. It just means that the firmware and app are stable on the newer LR vehicles.

We will have to continue working on individual items and updating the fw in the future. We simply don't have the resources to do everything all at once.

Just so that there are no misunderstandings...

Cheers,
