Still waiting for a response from the dealer, and from Land Rover.
l had a call from Land Rover saying they would "look into it" Apparently the dealer is trying to find out if the harness/connector is still in place and Land Rover just deleted the switch. Last edited by lightning on 5th Dec 2022 9:34pm. Edited 2 times in total |

Land Rover and the dealer have both gone quiet regarding this tailgate release switch
l still think it's a serious safety concern. l sent an email to the salesperson who dealt with my vehicle last Friday, asking for an update, and (contrary to the normal response) have had no reply at all. l had one phone call from my LR customer service "case manager" at the end of November but nothing since. |

Looks like l am the only one who is concerned about this safety issue.
Dealer and LR still silent, no response to further emails. Anyone with a 2022/3 90 Commercial make sure the rear door can never close when you are in the load space because if it does, you won't get out unless someone opens the door from the outside. lt's okay on the flat but beware if you park facing downhill. l may do, what if a child was to get trapped in the vehicle and they didn't have a phone with them. Or if you were in the middle of nowhere, the only way out would be to smash the rear window, if you had something heavy enough to do that.
What's the procedure for raising the issue with HSE? |

got my 90HT early November and I have a rear door release, took a while to find it but look on the LHS where the rear setbelt should have been.....

It’s a bit off topic, but from your pics above, can the window panels be unscrewed and removed to reveal the window, or is there more to it?
Cheers Col |

the panels come off but the glass has a thick film on the inside with fixings glued to it and there are some form of antenna also stuck to the glass.
So you could liberate some space but I guess the pastic protects the glass from impacts for any loose items in the cargo area..... |

Thank you for the heads up, the dealer and Land Rover had gone silent and my next step was going to be contacting HSE
