Just swapped my D200HT for a D250HT. Same thing - no switch. Asked the sales guy about your incident. He just found it funny. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

Could be something the JLR marketing team could get behind.

He wouldn't have found it so funny if it was him stuck inside the back of the vehicle in the pitch dark with no phone.

Particularly if he shared my phobia of being in small spaces.

Yeah, it seems crazy. I’m pretty sure all vans have an emergency boot release. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

ls there much difference between the D200 and the D250?
l wanted the D200 but it's no longer available, l had to pay £3,000 more for the D250. Not that l am complaining....the engine is absolutely epic.

Not sure if it's just new car placebo but feels like less lag and doesn't change gear as much. That could just be my mind playing tricks though. But noticeably quicker. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

Get on to the dealer, it should have one.

I've done research on this switch and wiring, my dealer ( and myself )
We can not find this part number in the regular partsbase or catalogue

They need a VIN number from a Hardtop who has it to look specific for this switch and bezel.

I did found recent an VIN number from an early D90 Hardtop,
did not do anything with it at the moment because I want to combine several issues with my dealer.

Feel free to use this , please share the results

the switch looks like the top of the above.

I understand this is used on RR Evoque, Sport and FFRR.

The symbol shows a 'tailgate' not a side hung door, BUT so does your key fob, go look.

The Bessel is a standard single switch mount, as found on eBay

Now, I did ask before, is the wiring behind the plastic panel ?
If you need a loom, then that is a much bigger job !

I wonder if it's connected to the soft-close which is why it isn't on recent deliveries? https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

No, 'soft close' is independent to 'Door Release'

My dealer is also saying they can't find the part.

Hopefully the wiring is present otherwise l'll have to fit the aftermarket kit.
