Just an update to the build, after a bit of T cut & polish Henry is looking very smart. Couple of things I wasn’t happy with on the original build.
Chassis was Dinatol’d but always wanted it galvanised. Wheel carrier ( Mantec) was never any good as the dust acted like cutting paste & killed it. Recovery boards were hard to reach on the roof. Wiring for the spots was a mess. Roof boxes were too small Now Galvanised chassis & bulkhead ( painted black afterwards) ORE wheel carrier. Side mounted boards. Wiring through the wing. Large lightweight roof box. Way hay! Fabulous to see that, especially after such dramatic pictures and reading the tale on the blog. Hopefully you be back on an even keel before long…. and staying there! Donald

Looking great and enjoying seeing the Mk 2 version of Henry coming together -as you say, a lot of T-cut !
Glad the rebuild is going on well and the modifications are taking care of the niggles that you have found on the route so far. The sand boards look good on the side and the table feature will be useful I’m sure. Onward and upwards https://sidetrackedsagas.co.uk to see the whole story ! Managed to get a replacement condenser for the air con. The oem unit was still sealed but rotten, genuine ( which you can’t get) around the 1k mark. This after market unit which was very nicely made £150.00!

Wow what an amazing job. Superb.
What is the shiny threaded bar sticking out of the rear cross member, under the ladder? |
