Whistling Noise!
My wife wants to do a 120 mile journey today in our SAAB diesel turbo but it has developed a whistle when you accelerate or rev it up when stationary - any ideas

Edit - probably the split intercooler pipe I taped up 6 months ago - they want £60 for a 4" long pipe Rolling Eyes

I was going to suggest a split pipe, leaking joint, manifold or similar but you've probably sussed the probable cause. Steve.

depending on the width, you could possibly put a solid tube in the middle and use jubilee clips to repair it ?

Yes it was the repaired split pipe MOG Sad

The pipe is very short with a kink in it Steve so difficult to repair. I'll see if anyone has one off a scrappy on a SAAB forum and failing that dig out the dosh! - my wife has gone whistling away in it anyway, shouldn't do any harm until I fix it properly...another one of my not so good temporary fixes trying to save money Whistle
