United Kingdom 1989 Defender 110 V8 Petrol CSW Bonatti Grey
St Albans
An errand took me through St Albans in my Landy this afternoon, and I was impressed to come across four other Defenders going the other way in the traffic, but surprised that NONE of them returned my friendly wave.

All late model and shiny of course, it being St Albans, so what do you reckon - new owners just got them in time for winter and not familiar with the etiquette yet, or just locals too preoccupied worrying about which kidney to sell to pay the mortgage... Fully Restored 89 110 CSW V8

CLS 350 CDI for the sensible stuff

Similar here - waved at four oncoming newish XSs - not one wave back!

I find it's often owners of the older models that wave. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

Lol Snorbens my hometown. I wish I could have all the money back that I spent in booze in some of the watering holes around there in years gone by. No new Defenders around when I started driving Land Rovers over that way, it was all cart springs back then. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

[Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc]

I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic.
