Tow Bar
Hi will this tow bar fit a TD5 Defender 90 ?

and if so were do the side brackets bolt two any pictures would be helpful

No that’s a 110 towbar - from Td5 (1998) onwards they differ, before that 110 and 90 were the same.

On that one the braces bolt directly to the chassis rails where they dip down. On a 90 towbar the braces pick up on the fuel tank cradle brackets rather than the chassis itself.

so if this has the wrong side braces as anyone by chance got the right ones to fit a TD5 90 ?

They won’t fit your Td5 90 - unless it’s some kind of aftermarket bar. You’re looking for the ones in Landy Andy’s post above. Flat steel with a slight bend, not an angle section.

Have you looked at fitting a 2inch receiver ?
Same sort of money as a new drop hitch but gives flexibility to fit a tow ball, jaw or nato hitch without adversely affecting your departure angles when not in use.
