LT77 to R380 for LS Swap
Hey guys!

Swapping out my NA 2.5L out of my 95 110. Needing to convert the tunnel to make room for the AX15 trans. Is all I would need for fitting:

Obviously a lot more going into the swap, just curious on having the trans fit in the tunnel.

Thx!

Not too familiar with the ax15, but i expect the issue to be similar to anything else, because of your early type seatbox.
Be sure to fit the engine and trans first, so you know where to cut the seatbox for RN’s adaptor kit, as it usually fowls the transfer box.
On some occasions the handbrake mount holes needs to be sneaked along too (if it’s right hand drive).

I’m sure Defender Source may be your better forum for info on the ax15, most conversions in the UK end up with a 6l80e.

Thought I recognised the model as I used to have an XJ (auto not manual). I guess they are plentiful in the States?

Yeah, solid trans to keep the LS a manual. Will set the engine and trans and then do the conversion. 👍🏻
