1994 Defender 90 300 Tdi HT Coniston Green

Door wont latch shut

Just struggled to get all the hinges replaced. Now one of the doors wont latch and close. Hopefully someone will have had this same problem. I did purchase new door latches/locks to replace but i didnt want to do that unless necessary. Thanks for any help.
Let me add this. The latch appears to work fine.

Check and refit the door seal. Maybe also loosen the hinge bolts a little, get someone to lift the end of the door, tighten them and try it. Not much adjustment in the hinges but wear and tear can cause them to drop.

You may find that the new hinges present the latch to the striker at a slightly different position than before. It's easy to adjust the striker by slackening off the two Torx screws, small adjustments at a time until the door latches nicely.
