The Part No for the whole housing seems to be BK3Q 6B624-CB Greetings, Defender 110 TD5 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 |

Yes exactly, BK3Q 6B624-CB is the number for the housing.

My local mechanic has just changed my plastic housing assembly for a spin-on assembly. Whilst the assembly (from LR) isn't cheap, it was easy to fit. Start to finish including taking numerous phone calls and a test drive, less than two hours. He bought from LR because Bearmach etc had no stock. Oh stuff!
The logic for making the change was two-fold. Firstly I am oldfashioned enough to think that a smaller filter is nowhere near as good as a larger one, hence the engine should (?) last longer. Secondly, I was getting fed up with earache about the small black stains on the drive! |

..i do change oil and filter every 5-6K km, and after reading this, im wondering, am i paranoid? What are your engine oil change interval folks? |
