Needed as Defenders have transmission park brake rather than wheel.

Personally I use a block of wood, unfortunately as the original is shaped like a boomerang you can’t even throw it away because it keeps coming back……  |

Had the same question when I bought mine.
As far as I could see, there was nothing in the owners book to explain what it was - although I am willing to be corrected! It seems to be more suitable in construction as an iPad holder than a wheel chock! |

At least yours has a wing nut to secure it.
Reminds me of when I picked up my brand new TD5 90 County from Farnell's many years ago. After the hand over process, I had only got 1/2 mile up the road and there was a horrendous rattling/vibrating noise coming from the passenger seat box area. I turned around and drove back to the dealer to express my concerns. Turned out that the wheel chock wasn't secure and was rattling against the seat box. So much for a comprehensive pdi and test drive prior to handing over the vehicle to the customer. After that, I did 70,000 miles of completely trouble free motoring with it in three years. Happy days. |
