As soon as spares start to get scarce I'm going to start picking bits up for stock, gearbox, window frame, doors etc. The nice thing about a Defender is that you can whack almost any power plant into it even batteries Sad It's going to be on the road as long as I am anyway Wink

No DC100 for me, will probably get an Amorak if it will tow 3.5 tonnes. 2011 110 USW

Took the old girl in for her 48k service. The gearchange is now a lot smoother, but there is a large dent in my wallet Big Cry

I hit 20,000 today as per photo above...I only got the 110 in May!

i thought me doing 19k in a year was a lot! you must be filling up twice a day!!!!!

Only once a day, but its is almost every day. At least I am not paying for the fuel, my business is.

same with me, except its still the hassle of filling it up all the time! i just ram the fuel cap in the pump trigger and it fills itself up!

I certainly wish it had a bigger fuel tank to cut down on time wasted at the pumps... 2011 110 USW

Daft question, but don't any of you fill up on the "Lorry forecourt"?

Usually there is a pin on the pump, so you don't have to hold the trigger. The flow rate is a lot faster than a normal pump too. I usually do this, if it's quiet.

Just a thought Thumbs Up

I often do, but havn't seen a pin. They can be a pain as you have to show your method of payment up front (after queing) then fill up, then queue again, then pay...and the pumps are so powerful it goes all over the place. In the owners handbook for my vehicle it specifically states NOT to use the HGV pumps. 2011 110 USW

A mobile phone, depending on how brick-ish it is, can work too... but don't let them see you doing it!
