I like the remote oversight feature. đź‘Ť
Not sure it helps in that it's different vehicles, different engines, etc but it is JLR AWD fault reported as " '2 Wheel Drive Only Traction Reduced' message is displayed on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) and the cause was found to be "A missing cable tie on the transmission electrical wiring harness on All Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles "resulting in "Transmission Electrical Wiring Harness Chafing on Rear Driveshaft". It’s good but unfortunately that isn’t working properly either the vehicle faults don’t show up in it.
Click image to enlarge Just had a call from Land Rover solutions they said the head engineer is working on the car now, looks like they will be working on over the next few days. She mentioned something about a wiring bracket but that wasn’t from the head engineer so wasn’t sure if it was still relevant to the problems with my car. She said the engineer would ring me with an update and she’s going to monitor the progress and ring me next week to see if everything got resolved. |

I think this must be what Land Rover solutions were on about with the wiring bracket! 👏🏻👍🏻 |

All of the fancy stuff fails short due the a missing cable tie. At least the missing cable tie would come under "a mechanical" issue and therefore easily sorted...once the issue is identified. This should be good news for other owners. At least JLR know now what causes the issue and how it can be sorted. The cable tie once attached during assembly short stop this issue occuring. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Yes hopefully easy fix but I’m still worried if there has been any lasting damage to the differentials and what was going on with the low engine coolant? I still need a lot of answers from the dealership engineers before I’m comfortable driving this car again. They should of done a rolling test drive from the start I hadn’t done any long distance drives back then and the damage done if any would of been minimal but after they said the problems are because I hadn’t taken it on a long drive the next day I took it 75 miles into the countryside and that’s when the problems got worse to a point the LR assist engineer said the vehicle has to come off the road immediately. Next few days are going to be interesting that’s for sure.

Good to see LR is still blaming their customers. |

Wow I have just seen in the all new Defender owners group on Facebook that someone else is reporting no engine coolant! Collected his car in February like me and similar mileage 250 miles on the clock. I would highly recommend everyone checks their engine coolant level ASAP as mine didn’t show any warning messages for the low coolant.

No updates today other that they have closed the windows and locked the car after leaving them open last night. They must be waiting on parts before they can progress with the repairs.

More than likely we will see a new post here along the lines of
"Hello, I am a new owner and I am experiencing the following problems...... Any ideas as to how to remedy them?" 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |
