Hasn’t shown up on many vehicles, it took 5 months to show up on mine. It’s supposed to affect the D5 but I’ve not seen any mention of it over there. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Intelligent AWD wasn't an option from launch was it?

20MY doesn’t have the intelligent system. And so far only a handful of 21MY cars seem affected by it.

Mines can go miles without it appearing, other times it’s within a couple of miles. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

If there's only a handful of cars suffering, then I don't see how a software update/revision can be the solution?

A few cars would suggest the issue lies in individual faults / items out of tolerance; re-writing software for the entire system with the encumbent change management process suggests otherwise; and then to report that software has been changed multiple times with no effect on the underlying symptoms beggars belief to the point that I would want to know the details of the software change or start to think someone was being rather economic with the truth.

So, its back from the dealer and covered over 200 miles of varied driving and no sign of the warning flagging up.

Let's see what happens this week.

Fingers crossed 🤞

I’ve already dropped the bombshell to my dealer, fix it or replace it, you choose! 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Get your dealerships to contact Stratstone Newcastle service department and ask what they did to fix mine as it hasn’t come back since mine was fixed months ago.

Been back at the dealer (21.10.21) for the 3rd attempt to cure. Advised that they have updated several control modules (they did tell me but I don’t remember them) and that they have recalibrated the driveline. Have driven home and then commuted to and from the office without fault. Under previous normal circumstances this would have led to the fault occurring at least once but it hasn’t so hopefully it’s cured. I’ll keep everyone updated if things change. 2021 90HT Fuji with Black Pack, 22" Sawblades

Interesting, I was reading how to calibrate the diff on a D3 on another forum just the other day.

I’ll pass the info on to my dealer, mines in on Monday for 2 days to have the seat rails replaced. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Had the seat rails done on a separate visit. Told me to wait as it was a one hour job (book time). Just over three hours later it was ready, said it was their first hence the time. 2021 90HT Fuji with Black Pack, 22" Sawblades

Mine said it’s a massive job and needs 2 days Laughing makes me suspicious as to whether or not they actually performed the update, knowing that the car was coming back in, as they were also fitting the tow loops which for some reason they assumed it was the screw in ones. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Well it’s back from its 3 day stay at the dealers, countless modules updated and various software updates done to the DADC, ABS and IPMA, as advised by LR. The dealers driver bringing the car home and 20 miles in, the 2WD warning returns. So back to square one, dealer now waiting for further advice from LR. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Not good news. I have had mines back nearly a week and the fault has not occurred. This was a daily occurring fault so I am hoping that they have fixed it. Pentland Stirling were the dealership and I think my Defender is the only one they have had this problem with, perhaps they can advise your dealer what they have done to mines. Hope you get sorted. 2021 90HT Fuji with Black Pack, 22" Sawblades

I think mines the first Dundee has encountered so they don’t want to do anything without LRs approval. I did mention about the diff recalibration so we will see what happens next. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
