I had a quick snoop round Autotrader this morning and finished with some smugness - a few 110's like my spec to be had at what appear to be good prices, until adding the extras I've ordered. I'm still in front against every one.
I guess the only thing they win on is instant gratification, though this advantage is diminishing by the day for me! Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history) Last edited by SN on 2nd Mar 2021 4:40pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Or £0.757 per mile...
Have you said whether it's a 90 or 110? |

Sorry guys but I think that I gave you false information.
I have just had a proper illustration through for a 110 HSE *Hakuba Silver. *Privacy glass. *Large centre display OTR price - £59,299 Deposit - £13,000 48 monthly payment - £499 GFV - 29,699 The LR configurator prices the same spec’d car at £64,290. It appears to work out to just under an 8% saving.. Jim |

Shhhhhh, just don’t tell MrsDSL that, the bigger the discount figure I can quote the better.
Who am I kidding, I married an accountant! |

I must admit I am very tempted....
The only thing stopping me is that I heard a whisper that LR are considering dropping their APR rates in the near future. Jim |

Well normally the only credit I ever consider is 0%.
It may well be that LR run a 0% campaign in the near future for a month or two. I always bought my cars cash and negotiated a good deal but I found that I was keeping my cars too long. I switched to the PCP route as it made me change my cars every few years before they had lost too much of their value. It also left me with more cash to spend on dancing girls and whiskey. When it’s free money though it’s a no brainer! Jim |

0 percent credit seems to only happen with budget mainstream brands in my experience. Have you managed to get it out of Land Rover?
I'm thinking about getting a lr4 as a stop gap on hp until deals improve. I think the payments should catch up with depreciation in 6 months or so. |

Click image to enlarge Top left shows discount level in the China sales area for reference. Makes you wonder why manufacturers, or at least this one, struggles to use the word "discount" and would rather dress it up with pseudo jargon... Last edited by Supacat on 8th Mar 2021 8:49am. Just never tell the dealer you are paying cash, right up until the last second. Or those discounts get priced out of existence. |
