When you say cover, do you mean the plastic thing in the photo on the previous page?
Click image to enlarge I've never been sure what the purpose of this thing is (and the corresponding one on the other side), nor even which vehicles have them. I suspect that they are intended as insulation or sound-proofing and maybe were fitted to XS models only, certainly my County-spec DCPU never had them. They seem pointless to me, and presumably trap mud and damp. I'd be fascinated to learn if there is any benefit to having them. |

Most people I know with them remove them as they fill up with dirt & promote rot if used a lot off road. |

Hi Gary, both fuel tanks for us giving us 850 mile range. The sill tank is 56L, we went for a canister water system as it’s easier to clean & more flexible. |

Main tank fitted, changed the rear lines & let it bleed itself. Started first turn..

Yes this is a 90 tank, I cut the top of the tank and welded in the two boxes so that it would go directly underneath the battery box as there are two boxes sticking out underneath the battery box. I also made a ‘Y’ piece at the fuel filler to fill both tanks (main original and aux under drivers side) so I didn’t have to cut another fuel filler Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I use the tank under the battery box as water and I fill from the rear quarter Click image to enlarge |

Nice work, wanted separate filling points so it’s a separate system incase we get contaminated fuel. Empty the main & then pump the sill tank into the main.
