To be honest I didn’t think it was a problem at first just thought it was changing from 4wd to 2wd in different sections of the road where there wasn’t any snow. I will check tomorrow but I don’t fancy driving it about the roads they are like ice rink for a 2 tonne car on 2WD

I’ve not seen that message on mine, I’d say it’s more likely to be an issue than normal functionality.
If you put the 4x4i screen on it shows you the locking diff status, as you drive they lock/unlock to varying degrees as dictated by conditions and the terrain response mode selected. |

Yes I have that on but the warning message came up over it and I didn’t want to delete the message until I had screenshot it so I could show LR assist. I’ll get onto them in the morning but my gut feeling it will be low battery as my car was stood in depot for 2 months prior to arrival at dealership.

Land Rover Assist engineer has been out and run a diagnostic test which showed no faults. He thinks that when I changed the terrain from comfort to grass/gravel/snow mode that the system hasn’t recognised the change and brought up the warning. Recommended that I monitor the vehicle and ring back if it reoccurs but should be okay 🤞🏻

Good news
Was the error still showing after an ignition cycle or did it clear on its own? |

No warnings on start of ignition this morning. Hopefully just a one off glitch.

The warning ⚠️ came back again today driving in comfort mode at 25mph over some pot holes. Booking the car into the dealership in the morning something isn’t right. I also had a strange scraping sound from the front passenger side break but I don’t think it is connected and seems to have gone now so could of been a stone or some grit.

Got my car 3 days ago and so far have had the message come up twice.
No idea what caused it, as I was just driving in normal mode on a regular road both times. Will hopefully get to LR service in the next few days to see if they have any further information. Certainly not very confidence inspiring. |

Anyone else remember the old Freelander 1 ‘fix’ of removing the rear prop shaft......?
Did the LR guy check that all the important bits were actually fitted in the first place..... |

Tell tale of important parts not there? Unusually high mpg and a smile from the owner at the pump.
