I’ve just been mouching around on Auto Trader and it appears that the prices of the 4 pot diesels are coming down?

I just placed an order for a 110 D200 base spec, and managed to get a 4% discount from a main dealer, plus a generous deal on my part-ex bringing it to pretty much 5% in real terms.

Not sure if I let lucky with helping someone meet their targets as other dealers were in the range 0.5 - 1%, but there are deals are out there if you work hard Very Happy

Wondering if the discounts on the 4 pots will reach 10 percent?

Need a new car and want a defender but can't get the magic number yet. Hoping for 500pm over 3 years with 5k down.

Really want the plastic cladding, paint and side steps though. Probably hoping for too much.

It’s in my saved list but a bit further away. Whistle

Shouldn’t be too long until that’s what’s being offered on the 3.0 cars coming through. Thumbs Up

This FE offers a good saving. I know that it’s used with 10,000 miles on the clock but a good price none the less.

My search pulls up 84 2.0 FEs with that one as the cheapest and this at the other end of the spectrum.

Wow! £73k for a 4 pot diesel Shocked

It will be interesting to look back at this thread in six months time and compare the prices and any change.

It’s £59.3k for a new 3.0 FE, say £64 with the extras, so £10k uplift over an new order for a 3.0 car. And that’s ignoring the 5% readily(ish) available discount. I think a lot of dealers still think the “it’s a new car so peeps will pay a premium” line still applies. They don’t seem to realise that there are over 500 cars out there not selling like hot cakes.

There’s a nice Tasman Blue / Fuji white combo 21MY 110 S with almost £5k off the price.

No good even folded?

I’ve sat in the jumps seat, surprisingly comfy, and I ain’t no light weight, but not much room for the feet. I deleted the centre console from my spec and went with the walk through, after seeing one at the dealers I was pleased with the space it frees up. I just need to remember there’s nothing there Laughing 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I’d never use it, ever. I was thinking of no centre console if my Engel could fit in there but I doubt the gap would be 40cm wide. I’d much rather have the standard console over the seat, which looks very high cf the console. I’ve been too used to the D3/4 seating position (Skippy is similar) to sit with my left arm up high.

It’s all moot as SWMBO is resolutely not engaging in any new Deafner discussion, even when I’ve left my iPad active on an AT search screen! Laughing Laughing

PS This is high on the radar. Plus they can deliver without it costing the earth.

Fl2 was the last car that I owned without the centre console. Looking at the cars without it there is bolt holes so I’m thinking one can be retrofitted if I keep falling out the seat.

Looks a nice spec. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
