The one advantage I can see with no centre console is for overseas toll tickets/payments for Mways and bridges. Thinking Polish motorways o/r to Tallinn for Helsinki ferry and the big bridges coming back via Denmark. Means getting tickets would be a lot easier. Not that I’ll be able to do that for a long time, deffo not in 2021, maybe in 2022. |

For when a dealer tells you JLR are a premium brand and don't do discounting:

I stand corrected, it’s a 4 year warranty in the US.

Yes, I believe it is. I only do 8k to 10k miles per year so, from a personal perspective, I would rather the 4 year / 50,000 mile warranty.

There are loads of different regulations across markets, like the states lemon law.
But the jag discount isn’t necessarily Land Rover Mike |

Also they cannot shift Jaguars for love nor money these days but Land Rover products are more in demand so not much discount on them though a change of model year might spark some dealers to discount to shift stock from the lot to allow them to restock with the current model Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Oddly enough, the model that held up best to the head winds, as JLR likes to phrase it, of the calendar year 2020 was actually a Jaguar model - the I Pace. It only lost 4.98% of sales over 2019. On average the LR models lost 27%. But as for "LR products are in more demand" - some LR models that preformed worst than some Jaguar models (in sales in 2020 over 2019) were: Discovery - 36.31% down Velar - 33.87% down |

Forget about any discounts now all production has stopped - the dealers will soon be charging a mark up even on the new/ unregistered 4 cylinder diesels that remain in the system .........
