2004 TD5, 113k. Serviced every 10k with Mobil 1 or Castrol Edge, always with an engine flush, always both filters.

Had the exhaust manifold done last autumn.

Replaced the injector wiring loom at 60K-ish miles as a precaution; it was bone dry.

2001 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Epsom Green
112,000 but it's yearly service, and MOT cleaned me out for a grand. All started with the EML light coming on and no throttle response on the A1 in the Scottish Borders 2 weeks ago got the recovery wagon out.

Couple of hundred to fix the electrical problem , and I knew there was gonna be another couple of hundred quids worth of jobs + service. Not a grand tho

Good job it's my favourite. Thumbs Up 2001 Td5 CSW (weekend and snow mobile) Plenty of lights, M/T tyres EGR delete, roofrack, swing away wheel carrier, snorkel.

5 years later from first thread...now on 120000!
Still love driving it, had to spend some money on bits/bobs but not modifications as I prefer her standard.
This is the highest mileage vehicle I have owned in 30 years of driving (that says something about the defender bug!!).
I think defenders are now part of my DNA Very Happy

2002 TD5 110 with 73K on the clock.

New calipers all round, a new exhaust back box, and a couple of new batteries (first replaced under guarantee).

Otherwise just regular servicing. The radiator has just started to weep at the back and I'll replace it before the winter.

Scotland 2001 Defender 110 Td5 USW Stornoway Grey
2001 10p 110

199,700 miles

Empire tuning mild (160 bhp ish) tune.

Oil and both filters changed every 10,000 miles - which is about once a year. (me)

Recently engine/transmission bits:
New injector harness (me)
New clutch (not me)
New exhaust (manifold joint back) (me)
Wiggle of the wastegate (me)
Starter motor solenoid rebuild (me)

Other stuff:
New doors x 5 (me)
New chassis (not me)
New callipers, discs and pads all round (not me)
New springs (not me)
New steering damper (me)
New steering box (me)
New steering shaft (not me)
New light switches and indicator stalk/steering wheel thingmy (me)
New wiper mechanisms x 2 (me)

Should be good for another 100,000...

I didn’t mention the new roof and side panels in the conversion from DCPU to USW. (me)

Next on the list:

Front electric windows (me)
Mud centre console (me)
New seats - front and rear (dunno yet)

I still think I could sell it for roughly what it’s cost me.
