This morning is a cold one (for Manchester UK) about -3 with a thick freezing fog.
Had to go out early so hit the remote start on the App. (No preheat option on mine) After 25 minutes it had defrosted the windscreen and rear screen, but not the side windows. I think it used the electric heaters to do this. The interior was barely mild! The engine is obviously so efficient it doesn’t quickly heat up. So, maybe ticking the times pre heat option with remote etc. is a good thing if your out regularly in sub zero. Yes I spotted that and set it to 22. Soon warmed up once driven. The heated wheel gets really warm! 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Too warm, same with the seat heaters, although when I put my back out last August just going out and sitting in the car with the seat on No3 setting gave great back pain relief! I have read that the seats that are heated and cooled aren’t quite as warm as the non-cooled ones for some reason. Yes I’d agree with that. My D4 seats certainly heated up quicker than the Defender. It still gets pretty warm and needs turning down though. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

The new Defender seems a backwards step, I use the nice new app on the Velar but on my shiny new Defender that’s supposed to have 85 ECUs and the latest and greatest tech I will have to use the old app

I use the new app on all of ours, worked fine yesterday heating the car

What app are you using? This is what mine looks like when using the climate heat.
Hold the green button till it does its thing (about 5 seconds) then off it goes.  Click image to enlarge 130's have feeling's as well you know  |

I use the same app as you for my Velar but Tim is running the old app, seems a few others are as well, as the new one wouldn’t connect during set up. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

New one refuses to recognise my user name/email/password - I spent a week with JLR iT trying to get the “new” one to work and when I tried the old one got logged on straight away. Gareth seems to have the same issue as do quite a few people on another forum.
