Hi all,
Newish here, but been a regular on other Landrover forums for a while. I have owned a 110 for a few years, but it failed an MOT and has basically sat in the garage for a couple of years. I always intended to get round to it but just don’t seem to have the time. In the meantime I purchased a cheap disco td5 to tide me over, however as expected that failed the MOT. Bit the bullet and bought a nice td5 double cab. Needs a few small things, but it’s been well maintained. Needs a bit of paint in a couple of areas, but it’s in good shape. Joel, a bit OT but wondering if your front bumper has a set of drls and fog lamps? I'm looking for that combination to tidy up my usw front end. 2010 XS USW

They are not DRL's, they are fog and full beams for some reason. I'm not a fan of that bumper, or the KBX grille and surrounds if i am honest. I think its also got an aircon grille, but no aircon. On my list of things to change at some point. Joel |

So, been working on various bits, and decided to investigate my Aircon. When I bought it the guy was adamant that it didn’t have factory air con. However it has the air con dash, compressor, drier and one air con pipe. I don’t think it has the aircon rad either.
Is there an easy way to tell if it was factory fitted, I am suspecting it was and at some point it’s broken and someone has had a go ant fixing it, left it half fixed. from what I can see, the only piece missing is something off the top of the aircon compressor and one of the pipes that go into the cab. Is defender aircon actually any good? Debating if I should just remove the remaining bits or if I should buy the bits to make it work. |

On a puma system, at 40 degrees on a French motorway, in stationary traffic, when you've got a black one...... No. It's inadequate. But then I'm classing inadequate as "I'm not at the temperature I want to be", as I would on a modern car system. For the above motorway issue it's a tad unfair to expect any standard system with a UK specced condenser panel to keep pace with heat loss when you have an uninsulated black panelled greenhouse sat in that temperature.
In almost every other circumstance it's absolutely fine, certainly for all UK weather it's well worthwhile having. The TD5 system is a tad noisy as on hot UK days I've found it has to run flat out the whole time to have any effect but again to my mind, the 90% the time when the system isn't outpaced by the weather again makes it worthwhile having. And our TD5 is also black. Makes a massive difference. Just my thoughts. |

That’s nice, assuming it’s yours, where did you get the bumper from?

Bankz, what size hoops are you running? I’m on 265/65R18 (also on Bowlers) but will need new hoops in Spring and am thinking of upsizing to a 275/65R18. You look like you’ve got big ones. Monsieur Le Grenadier
