Zed, since June 12th delivery 3 visits and 5 days in total in the workshop - while it was in for remedial work I also had roof rails and crossbars and the rear recovery eyes fitted but job times for those aren’t a working day. Biggest problem has been getting dates that the workshop has a slot available. When I was contacted to be told that the new A pillar trims had arrived they couldn’t take the car for 10 days then I couldn’t take it in the first available day so the gap stretched to 2 weeks.
The dealership I use is Pentland Stirling Land Rover, they aren’t the biggest outlet but they have a very large client base so are usually as busy as the big dealers in the south. They used to be one of the few family owned dealerships but the Morrison family sold out 2 years ago and while standards have remained as good as they were under family ownership, a lot of the great staff left along with the owning family which was a shame. It was great to be on first name terms with the directors, service manager and sales staff but apart from one salesman now I wouldn’t know who was the tea boy or the MD let along the service manager.

3 trips to sort a new car is appalling but the main thing is it's sorted now. I hope it hasn't spoiled the experience. WARNING.

New issue recorded:

SSM75423 - L663 “Distortion” or “rattle” noise present while using the audio system

If you experiece with some bass notes rattle/distortion with the front speaker, apply some pressure in the lower speaker grille and it goes away so it is issue with the fixing or door card (with Meridian audio)

This issue manifested to my P400e S. MY22 Defender 110 P400e S

I tried the fix in that video on my driver’s door today - no more rattles even on a rough forest track. My car is booked to have that investigated on all the passenger doors next week along with several other items........... I’ll wait and see if the dealer’s team have been watching YouTube before I do the other three doors and if they cannot fix it I’ll let them know what the internet says!
Now I wonder if that guy has a simple silicone sealant cure for the water leaking into my car through the offside rear passenger door............that two visits to the dealers has failed to cure so far.

Hi guys ,this video seems to have been taken down , i have the issue now and im not sure which seal is the offender. Has anyone any pics or video that might help. Is it the hard window seal or the rubber outer door seals against the frame that is causing it ?

Rubber seals in the radiused top left corner should have been stuck to the metal behind it but LR appears to have used cheapo double side sticky pads that loose their adhesive properties over a short time.

On the outside, drop the glass to reveal this curved bit

Peel back the curved seal on the inside of the door and apply some adhesive behind the curved rubber on the “outside” of the radiused seal - you may find like me that the OEM double sided sticky pad falls out if it was even there in the first place! Do the same for all the windows

I hope this helps Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!
