given Ineos seem to be flush at the moment maybe they should buy Land Rover out of the JLR tangle they are in.

That would be wonderfully ironic!

Like it and might well plonk for one, maybe a little underwhelmed with the styling its what I would have imagined a Chinese copy of the defender might look like they could have gone a little more individual and maybe then not have to worry about JLRs legal bouncers who are no doubt in a very long meeting this morning.

I like it a lot. Part Defender part G wagen part Toyota 70 series from the design cues but basically what the new Defender should have been. ---

Other than the front end grill with lights, I like it!

But now I'm torn between keeping my recently rebuilt defender or ditching Land Rover and placing an order with ineos Embarassed

Double thumbs up for it being built in Wales Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Sorry folks, but to go against the mood here, I think it's very disappointing, and lazy. Sad
Surely with a clean sheet they could have come up with a fresh look of their own, instead of aping the design cues of a Defender. To my eyes it's contrived, messy and has none of the clean simplicity of the 90 or 110. 2015 90 XS SW Bowler

Fugly and lazy.

The bonnet is like a cheap copy of an 80's UAZ truck, the rear lights are an afterthought. And for just those 2 design cues I'm out.
If I wanted a new Defender shaped vehicle I'd spend some money and upgrade mine. New engine and drivetrain, it would certainly be a lot cheaper than this is going to be.
They have taken to many design cues from the old Defender it's beyond lazy. So far the only redeeming feature is the rear door, where both segments open. 110 D250 SE HT

I like it a lot, especially with the modern underpinnings. If they can do the utilty/pick-up version for around £30k+ vat it'll sell like hot cakes. 2003 Defender 110 TD5 SW

I think it all depends on the final cost. If it can be bought "on the road" with a manual gearbox for under £40k, I will be extremely very tempted indeed.

It looks the sort of vehicle which the after market world could embrace, and the engineering on the drive train looked pretty promising.

I hope my expectations are not wildly unrealistic. 2005 Td5 90 XS

personally the bonnet and bulkhead need a little reworking to look more like the puma defender but generally like it.

be interesting to see the finished article inside and out - plus the cost of course.

Looks to me like a Puch evolution from the eighties, just replaced the black rubber around headlamps with a bit of rounded metal same as in Defender.
