I've got the impression it's quite a bit wider than the 110. Or is that an optical illusion ? Or delusion ?

Anorak On/
So this basically translates to Old Def : 58.5" - 1486mm track Grenadier : 69.25" -1759 mm track (est.) H1 : 71.62" 1819 mm track My factory Raptor 73.6" - 1870 mm track /Anorak off Judging from the above track width that is going to be one roomy 4x4 ! Even if I would take 110 mm out of the Raptor cab it would still be quite spacious compared to the old Def. |

I'll be curious how that track width impacts it's off-road performance. Many tracks are rutted after years of much thinner vehicle travel. Jeeps and Land Cruisers both had about a 61" track width, and the old Defenders were smaller still as @LandiePete has shared.
I imagine that extra 8-10 inches means you don't need to hang your arm out the window of the Grenadier while driving it though! |

I'm dismayed to see this estimate of the Grenadier track. I have seen dimensions for the Grenadier (can't find the source now) of :
- overall length 4700 - overall width 1800 - height 1900 This compares with Defender 100: - overall length 4599 -overall width 1790 - height 2035 I'm wondering how confident we can be of quoted dimensions. I don't think Ineos have quoted any. I expected it might be 100-150 mm wider that Defender but a track 273mm wider than the Defender I think would really reduce it's appeal for many people. I think those figures are mixing up track width and overall width, at least for the Defender. The latter over the wheel arches is 1790mm wide compared to 1800mm stated for the Grenadier. Based on those figures, the track widths are going to be broadly similar - certainly not 273mm different. Darren

Yes, confusing. I saw (but again can't find it now) for overall width of Grenadier with mirrors folded of 2008mm. Might be more accurate (208mm more than Defender)
