When you take the old one off you have answered the question!
Front panel has to come off, and the support braces. I think I had to trim the fan shroud a little to get mine to sit right. One of the hoses is a PITA to get hooked on, it’s the one that bends back on itself. Then put back together. Might be worth a search of YouTube... |

All pretty self explanatory when you start spannering. The radiator needs two plastic lugs trimming off, which caused me some head scratching for a while. Other than that, pretty simple... If not tight and knuckle damaging.

The 90 degree hose that fits on the left of the engine low down is THE entertaining bit. You may be tempted not to fit it, but it can be done, and without loosening the water pump as you may find suggested elsewhere.
You need to undo the steel pipe that connects it to the left hand intercooler hose, fit it to the manifold first, and put on the Jubilee clips loosely before you put the steel hose on. I used a flexible Jubilee clip screwdriver to tighten them up. It's impossible without one. If you have a search back through my posts (I can't as I'm on my phone) for March 2019, there should be more details and a few useful links. The skin grafts are now pretty much healed too.... |

Which BAS map do you have, assuming you have one? Interested to know what difference this makes so make sure you let us know once fitted.

Cheers. Why is EGT a concern for you, are you running high at the moment? |

The remap will increase the EGT as a matter of course, plus i will be overlanding at some stage in Morocco and the Pyrenees (just to name a few) and very conscious of the temperature.
I have noticed when towing heavy loads it climbs up too high for my liking, so wanted something to help really 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 2010 110 XS Utility 2.4TDCI 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 (gone) 2007 Discovery HSE TDV6 (gone) 1993 110 csw 200 tdi (gone) 1994 90 HT 300 tdi (gone) 1994 discovery 300tdi (gone) 90 hybrid 3.5 v8 (gone) Range rover bobtail 3.5 v8 (gone) |

I borrowed/added to these notes when I did mine:
Remember to tie the bonnet up to something because you wont be able to use the bonnet stay as that will need to come off. Remove fan cowling and grill. Loosen 2 bolts on bottom of AC radiator housing. Remove only right side 2 b"bolts" of the bonnet catch plate on the radiator side of fender by using a vice grip (you will destroy these 2 bolts so make sure you have 2 spare bolts to replace these! I used normal bolts for future ease) OR use 2 nuts to lock then undo. Loosen 2 I C pipes and bolts. Pull old I C. Use a loose hack saw blade to trim down the two pieces of protruding plastic at the bottom of the radiator. Pop new I C in (it will be a tight fit) and secure bolts and pipes. Then put everything back Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

I wouldn't get too excited about potential performance increases. I fitted my BAS intercooler and hoses a few weeks after having the BAS 170 remap and it made no appreciable difference.
However, it does open up the way to Pete's uprated turbo.... |
