Made a start today on the cabin noise reduction.

Then using contact adhesive I glued convoluted foam over the top.

I have also fitted noico inside the door.
It has made a hell of a difference to the panel resonance and door card.
Next up I want to do the bonnet and roof.

The roof is very worthwhile but the bonnet, much less so. The Puma bonnet is pretty heavy and rigid, so doesn't resonate in the same way that earlier ones do. The gaps around the edges mean you won't contain the engine noise, either. Darren

That was my thought but I can't see the reasoning behind deadening a door card. Mine makes no noise at all. The door, I get that but not the card 110 D250 SE HT

Front door card, I noticed a number of the “pro audio” installers fit dynamat to both the doors and card thought it couldn’t hurt at all to add some mass. Maybe I’m wrong who knows... I have plenty of time on my hands at the moment thanks to Covid...

They tend to do it because most cars have speakers in the doors, which then at certain frequencies cause the door cards to resonate and ruin the sound, defender doesnt, sadly! I've been trying to find a screw on or through moulding to do so for ages at "mud-stuff" type prices but havent ever found any.

but thats why they do it. You've not done any harm by doing it, and you've added a mass layer that again stops some noise transmission through the door "system".
