Much appreciated, thank you Steve - not finished yet of course and looking forward to getting out and about at some point, but happy with it so far

With the recent arrival of another dog, I figured it was time to remove the 2 rear seats in the 110 to give them both more space. Whilst they were out, I decided I’d start the seemingly endless task of applying dynamat (extreme) and a dynaliner... a lot more to do!

I worked on the new rear seating arrangement and welded an extension to the lug on my front seats so i can tip them forward and they stay there

Before, the wouldn;t lock past this position

Add a weld to this point to allow the lug to travel further

Now they stop here;

Dinitrol. Seems effective and coverage is great.

Today I managed to drive my Defender Thumbs Up

I've being having kit delivered to the house and finally arranged to move a full load of it to the office, and I suspect there will be another load sooner rather than later (much to the displeasure of SWMBO).

Was great to finally venture further than the end of the street, but a little errie how deserted places were. Shocked 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

Although working from home at the moment, yesterday afternoon I had to pop in to the office, some 15 miles from home, to collect stuff I need for next week. It was such a delight to be out in the Defender, on a beautiful sunny spring afternoon in glorious Dorset, with very little other traffic about. It was by far the most enjoyable drive I have had for many years. Thumbs Up

Did a little drive in poppy this week, just a wee potter from Aberdeen back to home to Cornwall ...

Drove about 650 miles over 2 days back home on mostly empty or very quiet roads that used to be called ‘motorways’ and couldn't find that local delicacy called 'Traffic Jam', and even had to miss taking time admiring the view at 'spaghetti junction'
I went up about 3 weeks ago and found the roads much the same, a little busier on the way home than on the way up though ...

I Camped on the English boarder, with VERY strict social distancing, (ie - completely on my own with a view of the hills !) I was totally independent, having enough food and water on board, and sleeping in the vehicle (and with my own potty!) - so only time I came into contact with people was for fuel - and that was very well managed with keeping to social distancing.

I did find deserted services were I was the only car in the car park when I pulled in to cook my food, and was expecting to be checked at the Cornish boarder for my authority to travel and ID, but that didn't happen this time.

So Poppy proved to be a very useful tool being able to get me to and from work in times of no public transport, and helping me keep social distancing with accommodation and catering etc. .

one of the ‘busy’ service stations ..! Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html
Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold

Not very exciting!
Put a new genuine air filter in. The one that came out was quite dirty, so hoping it will make a bit of difference.

Plucking up the courage to clean the MAF sensor but I don't really know what I'm doing so I don't want to mess it up and end up with more problems!! Rolling Eyes
