Indeed the 204PS version. I was going to go N57 twin turbo but it was so expensive that I may as well have gone for a big V8.
I've considered a V8 for a long time but as its my daily vehicle I can't really justify something that only does 15mpg on a daily basis. The M57 is a good compromise as it sounds nice, is quite good on fuel, is very cheap to get hold of and can be tuned for quite respectable power. I'm not going to go mad with it, but a hybrid turbo and some tuning should see about 300bhp and 650nm of torque or there abouts. 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

how plug and play is this going to be? I did a vvc conversion in a metro 10 years ago and that was easy job, but the info was very conflicting. mind the car did raise hell though, with it been a rare sight up here, people though it was a 1.1 or something, until it walked a way from them become a money pit though sadly, so you need to be all in grafty and I mean it Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Look forward to seeing this Grafty, I've been toying with the same M57 as a replacement for the Td5 also My father had an N57 in a 535 a few years ago and it was staggering, especially after a strong remap.
