As Blackwolf has already said, vcv valve seems the likely suspect.

You can get Denso branded for about £60 and unbranded for about £30 You can change yourself - only issue is awkward to access the bolts - there is full thread on here with pics on how to do it and the tool - ratchet wrench with extensions/universal joint |

Hi Mark, was wondering if you've managed to fix the issue described here? I am struggling with the exact same issue. Tim |

So I've had the VCV replaced (Denzo) but the problem persists. It suddenly loses power (when accelerating hard), does not respond to the accelerator, coasts along and then dies. Any help much appreciated |

Hmmm, could be a dirty fuel pickup in the tank?
Time to drop the tank and inspect it - there could be crud around the fuel pickup, and when you put foot, the increased fuel flow is compromised by the blockage. -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |
