A D2 will fit. What are your symptoms? Often you just need to rebuild the modulator shuttle valve.

I had it diagnosed at an independent garage they came to the conclusion that the pump has failed, £2200, for a new pump, plus 5 hours labour because it’s a Sod of a job. 2005 TD5 90 CSW XS

get it removed
send away for repair fingers crossed it can be fixed with a new modulator etc refit, still keeping fingers crossed. d2 one is different but can be made to fit lots of info on the web about how to and yes its a pain to get off. |

Access is not unlike lambing a difficult ewe but with spanners! A mixture of working through the air intake vent and from inside the engine bay but underneath the wing top. Then try getting it all back in when you've slightly moved the brake lines when you levered them out of the way to get the unit out. You get halfway through the surgery and come to the conclusion that it may have been a better idea to take the whole wing off

I had this issue, got one from a breaker, £250, fitted it myself, scraped knuckles and slightly scraped paint.. easy job, made difficult with lack of space.
Worked out great ! |
