Another pit run done , the ground was sooooo rock hard , so I let my daughter and others drive it mostly as my bones couldn’t much of that , was brilliant fun none the less , seeing others drive it across the lake and then seeing them smile afterwards was great

No money for a chassis , I will now replace the brake pads , sort out the brake pipes , get the fog light working , locate all of the spoken corrosion and remove and weld it all up , put a new wheel bearing in , replace the steering ball joint , I will then put it back in for mot and once sorted , i’ll sort out the steering box . Might take a while , but surely it’s worth it

Yep , I think you’re right fella , wheel bearing , brake pads , drop link ball joint and a few small sundries came to 110 quid delivered , i’ve got plenty of 3mm sheet steel , this corrosion they say is bothering me , i’ve spent millions of hours removing and welding , how could I of missed such a large amount ? Will report back tomorrow once i’ve collected her

Well she’s home , looked at her underneath on a ramp , yes I could do with a new chassis , but that’s not an option , the corrosion is mainly battle damage from the pit , so gotta huge pile of 3mm sheet off cuts coming , and a welding I shall go , but when it’s cooler , it’s a billion degrees in the garage today
